Specifying the correct end of line
attachment
To ensure maximum productivity, to minimise costs and to ensure a safe lift and successful outcome it is essential to specify the correct end of line attachment for a specific lifting application
When you look at end of line technology you find most problems occur at the interface between crane and load being lifted To ensure maximum productivity, to minimise costs and to ensure a safe lift and successful outcome it is essential to specify and choose the correct end of line attachment for the specific lifting application
Getting the message and the right information across is difficult due to the large variety of attachments available but Camlok believes it has found the solution.
The company has produced a series of ten brochures focusing on individual product lines and their correct application and three catalogues that relate to the construction / building industry, rail handling industry and terminal / dockside applications.
They contain clear descriptions, tables and diagrams along with visuals of equipment under load applications and various options, this combined with our comprehensive website and internationally based agents completes an Integrated technical, support, sales and information service for the end user.
At Camlok the company believes that investing in the right technology can not only reduce design and production costs and therefor provide our customers with a quality inexpensive product and a comprehensive service, but it allows us to build a closer working relationship with our agents and customers.
The company has invested in the latest solid modelling CAD software which allows our skilled designers to quickly model a prototype, stress analyse and test it and convert the solution to drawing, resolving many issues prior to production thus reducing delivery time.
The design is then downloaded direct to modern computer controlled production equipment.
Manufacturing is controlled by a materials resource planning system (MRP) in conjunction with a very simple cost effective "Kanban" materials / component cost system that synchronises the outputs of various stages of the process allowing us to react quickly to our customers requirements.
The 3D CAD system has the capability to allow 3D online meetings based on Unigraphics and Microsoft's Netmeeting.
Visual ports enable 3D and CAD data to be viewed on line with a standard modem without having to have the software loaded on your system.
This will allow on line discussion and virtually instant problem solving with customers anywhere in the world.
As yet security on this system for sensitive information is still being developed but the possibilities are very exciting.
The Camlok website has been developed to meet many requirements but always with the concept of simplicity and ease of use in mind.
It has been designed to form part of our comprehensive user guide and online point of contact and it provides an up to date new product and news information service.
Statistics show that lifting equipment is the cause of many industrial accidents.
It is therefore imperative that this type of equipment is manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Camlok is a member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association and all clamps are manufactured in accordance with ISO9002.
Camlok is accredited by BSI and external suppliers of components and materials must be accredited to a recognised quality assurance authority.
All Camlok products are proof tested to 2x WLL prior to dispatch and our testing and inspection facilities are subject to annual independent audits.
