Commenting, Terry Edwards, Quality Manager, said: "We have seen enormous benefits from the changes required to implement this accreditation.
At one and the same time, we have achieved a much more positive working environment for our staff, and a measurable improvement in productivity, in the quality of our customer service and in our business performance".
He added, "The award brings us into line with many of our customers, who already hold the accreditation.
They, and we, see achieving Investors in People standards as a key requirement in building a successful business relationship".
In moving to Investors in People accreditation, CTL Manufacturing had already restructured its operation into manufacturing cells, and moved a layer of the company's management out of the office onto the assembly floor to help improve communications.
In parallel, the company introduced a new focus on training, and made the manufacturing cells customer-facing, empowering them to structure their work patterns to meet business needs.
