Easier access to complex technical software
The latest version of the EASA (Enterprise Accessible Software Applications) package provides substantial improvements in its ability to provide simplified access to complex technical software.
Sparopt is a new tool used in conjunction with Spar - Clockwork's predictive modelling technology.
Spar is a software modelling building platform used to build asset models for prediction and management of the performance and life cycle costs of complex systems.
Spar technology uses Monte Carlo simulation to build highly accurate reliability-based asset models, and Sparopt provides an automatic optimisation capability for planning the number and timing of spare parts in the maintenance process.

"Spare parts optimisation is one of the most common, but complex and expensive problems in many industries", said Paula deWitte, President of Clockwork Solutions.
"Sparopt optimises the relationship between cost of spares and system performance, enabling executives to make the best cost effective decisions".
Sparopt maximises system performance with a given spares budget and minimises the cost of reaching a system performance goal.
It examines how changes in cost data affect the optimised spares policy, and generates a ranked spares.
In addition to Sparopt, Clockwork Solutions has launched the new version of Spar - version 5.0.
The major enhancements in Spar 5.0 include Batch Runner, Input Forms and Storage Mechanism.
The Spar Parametric Batch Runner is a tool enabling Spar project files to be run sequentially in batches, with the ability to change various parameters of each project.
The new Input Forms enable the user to copy and paste information into/from an external spreadsheet and give clearer access to the input data.
The new storage mechanism gives Spar the capability of modelling complex storage situations.
Any kind of model element can now be stored in and removed from multilevel storages at any point in time.
These elements can also be given integer and real number attributes for element tracking.
"There are critical bottom-line maintenance and logistics support issues facing industry and government operations that are highly complex and problematic.
Spar and Sparopt are unique products that will contribute to that bottom line savings.
These are both technologies that have immediate applicability and beneficial impact throughout any enterprise requiring a competitive edge", said Paula deWitte.
