Design News has awarded Richard Glasson of Control Products first place for excellence in design.
His invention, the SL Series linear position transducer provides motion control for hydraulic cylinders without requiring major modifications for installation.
While this product was originally developed for mobile applications, these sensors are used in a wide variety of industrial, as well as marine applications.
Recognising that cylinder integration can be a hurdle for some manufacturers, Control Products also offers "smart cylinders" - complete hydraulic cylinders with sensors installed.
