Easy to use interface for any automation project
The new SCADA Portal from ABB is an easy-to-use graphical interface for controlling remote processes from small, standalone applications to five clients and up to 10,000 I/O per server
The basic system consists of a rack into which is plugged a power supply, CPU and a user defined selection of analogue, relay and digital I/O, communication and storage modules to suit specific applications.
There is a choice of two rack sizes - the Rack-400H with five free I/O slots and the Rack-400F with 10 free I/O slots - which can be used as either main or extension racks.
Datacommunications between system racks is by fibre-optic cable and up to 16 racks with a separation of up to 39m between racks (200m with special fibre optic cable) is possible.
A choice of universal AC power supply or 24V DC supply is available but for main racks fitted with the CPU, the power module comes with an integral display for diagnostics and user controlled information.
Both racks are gear plate mounting and come complete with a flip down cover to give easy access for cables, connectors and tie points for all module positions.
A choice of three CPUs is available and selection depends on the I/O required and whether support is needed for advanced modules such as Fieldbus interfaces or high speed inputs.
For ease of installation, a full range of DIN-rail-mounting field termination modules, accessories and cables made to required length are offered.
With constant reference to customer's requirements, the new Colter FMT-400 range has taken three years to develop, and is already operating successfully in three-axis control, boiler management, machine and process control.
