The ST8810 Series is a range of low-cost, handheld infra-red thermometers with laser sighting and a large backlit LCD display.

There are three models to choose from, each with different temperature ranges to suit different applications.

The emissivity setting is fixed at 0.95, making the ST8810 Series ideal for most organic materials and non-shiny (painted, corroded or anodised) metals.

Readings can be taken in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit, and when the trigger is released the last measurement is held for 7s before the unit automatically turns off.

The narrow, 8:1, field of view helps to minimise errors by providing a small-diameter measurement area.

These rugged units will operate in ambient temperatures from 0 to 50C and are powered by a standard PP3 9V battery.

The Model ST8812 measures from -50 to +200C with 0.1C resolution and from +200 to +500C with 1C resolution - the change in resolution occurs automatically.

Model ST8811 measures from -20 to +450C and model ST8810 measures from -20 to +270C.

With prices starting from as low as GBP 39.99 for the ST8810 unit, these sensors are an extremely cost effective way to measure temperature quickly and accurately.
