Clyde Materials Handling has used its expertise to provide materials handling solutions at each stage of tennis ball production for Penn Racquets.
Penn Racquet Sports Company, based in Ireland, manufactures over 100,000 high-quality tennis balls a day to the most exacting standards in the industry for delivery to customers around the world.
Penn Racquets tennis balls are the official balls of the Tennis Master series of events worldwide.
Clyde Materials Handling, working closely with the company over the last 12 years, has used its expertise to provide materials handling solutions at each stage of tennis ball production and takes into account Penn Racquets' strict production criteria.
These include, an improvement in productivity and cost savings, combined with minimum degradation to the product.
The company also places great emphasis on environmental conditions with an important factor being to improve workstation operating conditions for its workforce.
Using its test house facility in Doncaster, Clyde Materials Handling was able to successfully conduct trials which exactly replicated the client's on-site conditions and production needs.
Clyde has been involved in a variety of projects such as high efficiency exhausters, primary filter units, and dust control and increased throughput throughout the whole factory.
The reliability and efficiency of the equipment and services provided by Clyde has been a significant factor in Penn Racquets decision making process to continue to purchase equipment from Clyde, helping to build on the unique relationship developed over the years.
