A Cosa Instrument product story

UOP has signed a distribution agreement for its Monirex continuous hydrogen analyser (CHA) technology with Cosa Instrument Corp/Xentaur.

UOP has signed a distribution agreement for its Monirex continuous hydrogen analyser (CHA) technology with Cosa Instrument Corp/Xentaur.

The UOP hydrogen analyser is unique in that it measures hydrogen specifically, using a patented ion selective membrane technology, rather then thermal conductivity.

"The need to monitor hydrogen quality in UOP's process technologies is essential and will continue to play an important role in the refinery operations", noted Tony Craglione from UOP.

"This product line will be better positioned for growth in a variety of diverse markets in the hands of a specialty instrumentation company like Cosa".

Under the agreement, Cosa Instrument Corp/Xentaur will manufacture the UOP Monirex continuous hydrogen analyser at its manufacturing facility in Yaphank, New York and assume responsibility for global distribution and field service of the large installed base.

"We are excited to integrate this product into our analyser programme".

"There are great synergies from a manufacturing as well as marketing point of view", said Cosa's Bob Preucil.
