Vibration firm set up to attack market

A CMS Vibration Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 23, 2006

CMS separates anti-vibration business into separate company to provide more market focus in the building and industrial trades.

CMS Vibration Solutions has been established out of the anti-vibration division of CMS Acoustic Solutions - the independent supplier of acoustic materials - because of the increasing demand for anti-vibration products in the building and industrial trades.

CMS Managing Director, Lee Hackett, said: "We took the decision to set up CMS Vibration Solutions as the requirement for anti-vibration products is increasing".

"Separating the key functions of our business into two distinct companies will allow each to focus on the specific needs and requirements of each field".

Heading the company is Paul Lafone, who joins from vibration and shock control specialist Fabreeka.

Lafone said: "I am delighted to have the challenge of taking CMS Vibration Solutions forward and increasing the company's presence in the anti-vibration market".

"Anti-vibration is a very specialist field, in which CMS already has extensive knowledge and expertise".

"We will indeed be looking to build new relationships with other anti-vibration material manufacturers".

"The opportunity in this market has never been greater, and there is much to look forward to".

CMS Vibration Solutions supplies anti-vibration products including those made by CMS and the Regupol range.

All supplies from both companies will continue to be distributed from CMS' nationwide distribution centre in Warrington.

Plans are also underway to open an additional distribution centre at CMS' Colchester site later this year.
