The compact 24V DC supplied unit measures just 108 x 70 x 33mm and delivers an impressive 6A continuous current with internal or external speed control and inputs for direction and start/stop.
With a 30:1 speed control range and a quiet 25kHz PWM frequency the new drive is aimed at small to medium sized automated machinery applications such as conveyors and speed controlled transmission drives where high performance and competitive pricing is prioritised.
Brushless DC drives have improved efficiency over traditional speed control solutions such as AC induction motors and require almost no maintenance.
Furthermore, their high overload capability, cooler running, improved speed regulation and wider speed range will enhance typical application performance.
Cetronic offers the full range of PennEngineering Motion Technologies, MAE and Pittman brushless servomotors as the main UK distributor.
The BLDC drive particularly complements the MAE BM series brushless DC motor range which offers continuous stall torque from 0.11 to 4.5Nm in a wide variety of motor only and motor/encoder configurations.
Cetronic is able to closely match application requirements with the best combination of motor/drive to ensure a "no compromise" solution is achieved.
The new drive can also be specified in full position-based motion control applications in conjunction with a suitable motion controller.
