Batteries set to power record attempt
The same technology that drives wheelchairs and electric scooters could soon be a crucial element in the attempt to break the world electric land speed record.
The CH model is the onboard version, allowing machines to be plugged in at the nearest 13A socket.
A facility is available to allow for a safety interlock, which means that the machine cannot be charged and used at the same time.
These new chargers are extremely light at under 3kg and offer the optimum ratio of power to weight.
Compact and robust, they can cope with mains fluctuations to ensure an optimal recharge and are fan cooled to prevent overheating.
A tricoloured LED indicates charge status and warns of any faults to ensure the longevity of the battery and to provide peak performance.
A number of models are available in both ranges, to cater for all battery voltages and charge currents.
Both chargers offer an opportunity charging facility on flooded product for a quick top-up when the operator does not have time for a full recharge.
They also offer an automatic charge for all types of battery to maintain them in optimum state of charge, ready for use.
