Modular enclosures create distribution panels
A range of low voltage switchgear assemblies, ready for installation and type tested according to DN EN60439, Part 1 (TTA), can be produced with the Hensel Mi-1000 range of components.
Screwless terminations handle higher currents
The innovative Quick-Connect system of screwless conductor terminations has now been extended to include a range of 63A rated plugs and connectors.
This is an important consideration for contractors, installers and service engineers where time is money.
The ease and convenience with which the products can be cabled-up, without the need for tools, can transform the profitability of any job.
The conductor is simply inserted into the terminal and positively clamped by pushing down a captive contact slide.
No terminal screws to loosen and tighten, and certainly no screws to lose.
Releasing the cable is equally simple, just lift the contact slide.
The assembly is both safe and secure, accommodating a pull-out load equal to or exceeding screw terminations.
Re-joining the split terminal housings after wiring is also equally simple.
These are simply located together and twisted to a 'lock' position which engages a four point bayonet catch.
This assembly provides sealing protection up to IP55 in non-operating condition, with level IP67 achieved when appropriate plug and socket fittings are connected.
The introduction of this new generation of 'quick-connect' fittings is being staged.
The products currently available include 16amp straight and angled panel sockets in 110, 240 and 415V, together with a 415V plug fitted with cable sleeve.
The range is being extended continuously with 32amp fittings also under manufacture.
All new 'quick-connect' products are fully interchangeable with the existing products which will eventually be phased out as current stocks are depleted.
