The 'quick-connect' range of industrial plugs and sockets from Cee Norm UK features the latest concept of screwless cable connections, claimed to achieve up to 50% savings on installation time

A full colour A4 leaflet is now available on the 'quick-connect' range of industrial plugs and sockets currently available from Cee Norm UK Ltd These feature the latest concept of screwless cable connections which, together with the quick-release product housings, are claimed to achieve up to 50% savings on installation time

The leaflet illustrates the latest method of cable termination using the time saving contact slides which effectively lock any stranded, flexible or solid conductors.

The termination joint is positive and secure, providing protection against corrosion, vibration and pull-out failure.

In addition the simple method of gaining access to the terminals, with housings that can be opened by releasing a single retaining clip, highlights the even greater versatility of the products.

Assembly is even easier, the mating halves are simply twisted together to engage captive bayonet catches.

The plugs and sockets comply with BS4343 and IEC309 and feature plastic housings which are free of Halogen, Cadmium, Silicon and PVC.

They are resistant to both corrosion and chemical attack and can be supplied with moulded cable sleeves or optional cable glands.

The 'quick-connect' version of their industrial plugs and sockets are being phased in to replace existing products as stocks are depleted.

Items currently available cover both surface and panel sockets, together with plugs and connectors in 3, 4 and 5 pole variations in 16amp size for 110, 240 and 415V operation.

These include both IP44 and IP67 protection with some straight and angled sockets in a range of flange sizes.

This range is being constantly extended with the 32amp variations expected to be available shortly.
