Own-branded circuit protection devices launched

Cee Norm UK has expanded its range of equipment to include own branded circuit protection devices, providing the levels of safety and protection specified by current legislation

Cee Norm UK has now expanded its range of equipment to include own branded circuit protection devices, providing the levels of safety and protection specified by current legislation for domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations.

The range includes RCCB's, RCBO's and MCB's, covered by approvals EN 61008, EN 61009 and EN 60898 respectively.

These supplement an extensive range of industrial plugs and sockets already available from the company.

The residual current circuit breakers (RCCB's) include both two and four pole modules in four current ratings of 25, 40, 63 and 80A, in three sensitivity categories of 30, 100 and 300mA.

Where additional overload protection is required (RCBO), two and four pole modules are also available with 30Ma sensitivity.

Current ratings from 6 to 40A (32A max for four pole unit) can be supplied, with breaking capacities of 4.5kA for two pole and 6kA for the four pole products.

Miniature circuit breakers (MCB's) can be supplied with B and C performance characteristics, as single, two or three pole modules.

They are available in current ratings from 6 to 63A in all sizes, with breaking capacities of 6kA.

All products are of modular construction with standard 17.5mm body width and 55mm depth to comply with the latest European standards.

They are designed for snap-on fitting to 35mm DIN rails (EN 50.022), with an easy release feature permitted by the two position coupling device.

Bodies are manufactured from a high-temperature resin, with provision for cables up to 25mm2 and locking in either ON or OFF positions.

Terminals are protected against accidental contact and special preparation of wire terminations is not required.

A wide range of adaptable boxes, together with plastic enclosures complete with DIN rail mountings for protection devices can be supplied, providing either IP40 or IP55 protection.

Both standard and made to order switch interlocked sockets and combination units incorporating protection devices can also be supplied from their range of industrial plugs and sockets, including caravan hook-up and garage units.
