Screwless terminations handle higher currents
The innovative Quick-Connect system of screwless conductor terminations has now been extended to include a range of 63A rated plugs and connectors.
The junction boxes can be supplied suitable for a wide range of cable sizes including 2.5mm2, with many versions offering range taking from 1.5mm2 up to 4, 6, 35, 50 or 240mm2 in size.
Some products are available with time saving elastic membranes at the cable entry point, which also incorporates an M20 thread for cable glands ensuring IP54 sealing.
Sealing up to IP65 can be achieved with other versions which include plain walled boxes (to be drilled on installation), and junction boxes with metric knockouts for either cable or conduit entry.
The products can be supplied either with or without in-situ terminals, with some versions accommodating aluminium as well as the copper conductors.
Depending on the range, junction boxes can be supplied in optional colours being white (RAL 9016), or grey (RAL 7035), and are manufactured from high grade thermoplastics.
Products made from flame retardant and impact-proof thermoplastics which have UL/CSA approval can also be supplied.
Halogen-free, weather-proof boxes which are manufactured from impact-proof, glass-fibre reinforced polycarbonate are available which can be supplied in grey (RAL 7032) and black (RAL 9011), including UL/CSA approved versions.
Fire resistant junction boxes in powder-coated sheet steel (orange RAL 2003), are available for use where safety and functional integrity are paramount.
This includes electrotechnical equipment for emergency lighting, lifts, smoke outlets and alarm systems etc By providing power for 30 or 90min, these products can help ensure safe evacuation of buildings while also assisting emergency teams in their rescue work.
These products are also complemented with an extensive range of mounting and installation accessories.
