Visual journalist to encapsulate COFES keynotes

Cyon Research Corporation, host of COFES2004, the Congress On the Future of Engineering Software, has revealed that visual journalist Eileen Clegg will be visually documenting this fifth annual event.
Cyon Research Corporation, host of COFES2004, the Congress On the Future of Engineering Software, has revealed that visual journalist Eileen Clegg will be visually documenting this fifth annual event.
Clegg is a pioneer of visual communication techniques, termed "visual journalism", where the many, and often varied, messages of a presentation can be encapsulated in a graphical "map".
"A picture says a thousand words", stated Brad Holtz, President and CEO, Cyon Research.
"Eileen's work combines graphics and words to be able to communicate the messages and key points imparted during a presentation and keynote.
We are very excited to add this method of communication to our event".
"Many major events have pivotal and defining points in their presentations and keynotes that often are not captured", stated Clegg.
"We try to capture those messages with tools that deepen and expand communication, capture the big ideas and subtle sub-themes, and create a dynamic record that invites ongoing energy toward positive change".
Some previous clients of visual journalism are, IBM Almaden symposium, Tech Learn Conference, Darden School of Business and Cambridge University Press.
The fifth annual Congress on the Future of Engineering Software, presented by HP, will take place at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona from 1st to 4th April 2004.
COFES, a mainstay of the engineering software industry, provides an intensive conference atmosphere where private and public discussions are held.
Delegates are executives, end users, CAD and PLM vendors, analysts, and press who work together to determine, define, and clarify the business issues of engineering technologies.
