Dr Joel Orr will present the main keynote during the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing 2005 Conference and Exposition.

Cyon Research Corporation VP and Chief Visionary Dr Joel Orr will present the main keynote during the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' (SME) Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing 2005 Conference and Exposition Orr, long regarded as an industry leader, brings his unique insight and peculiar energy to this leading rapid prototyping (RP) event

His keynote, titled "Make it easy: make it hard", will bring insight into how RP has influenced design practices and transformed time-to-market schedules, and how it may affect manufacturing in the future.

"Dr Orr's engaging style and engrossing insight into the technology used in design and manufacturing will bring new clarity to industry participants", said Terry Wohlers, Wohlers Associates and a 13-year advisor to the event.

The Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing event, North America's largest annual rapid manufacturing event, is being held at the Hyatt Regency, Dearborn, Michigan, USA, from 10th to 12th May 2005.

In conjunction with the main event is the CAD Data Exchange Conference, where industry experts will focus on the challenges and solutions for achieving 2D and 3D data exchange.
