A Congress on the Future of Engineering Software will be held at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi, on 17th and 18th November 2006.

Cyon Research Corporation, the organiser of the annual Congress on the Future of Engineering Software (COFES), has announced a once-in-a-lifetime industry event, the COFES India Summit, to be held at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi, on 17th and 18th November 2006.

The free, invitation-only, landmark event will shed light on how the world's engineering software community can address the many economic and political opportunities facing India.

The sixty-four invitees include the chief officers of major software firms and industry veterans from North America, as well as leadership from India's burgeoning engineering, manufacturing, and architectural sectors.

Cyon Research Corporation's groundbreaking symposium, the Congress on the Future of Engineering Software - COFES - has been the most important gathering place for the engineering software industry since 2000.

Each year, 275 industry leaders, users, vendors, executives, consultants, and press meet and share their insights in Scottsdale, Arizona.

More than a lecture series or trade conference, COFES accommodates a relaxed, honest, and intelligent conversation about the future of the engineering software industry.

According to Cyon Research CEO and President Brad Holtz, the COFES India Summit will be a precursor to COFES-India 2007, a larger, more-inclusive international event based on the COFES-US model.

"The COFES India Summit represents the kick-off of a collaborative examination and a refinement of issues in a year-long effort to build a community between software vendors and customers in India".

"Our goal is that by COFES 2007 in Phoenix next spring, the issues raised at the COFES India Summit will have been clearly refined and contextualised", explained Holtz.

"When the first annual COFES-India takes place in the fall of 2007, the participants will be primed for action at an unprecedented level".
