Cyon Research Corp has completed its divestiture of its publication group with the sale of CADCAMNet and Engineering Automation Report to Ash Bridge Media.

Going forward, Cyon Research will now be able to focus its full attention on its growing consulting practice and on the expansion of COFES internationally.

Cyon Research had acquired CADCAMNet in 2004 from L Stephen Wolfe, and Engineering Automation Report in 2000 from David Weisberg.

Wolfe and Weisberg are currently senior analysts with Cyon Research and both will continue in their current roles at Cyon Research.

Cyon Research will continue to have its voice and opinions aired.

Both Brad Holtz and Dr Joel Orr will remain on the masthead of CADCAMNet as contributing editors, and the entire Cyon Research team will deliver their commentary on Cyon Research's blogs.

COFES, the Congress on the Future of Engineering Software, now in its eighth year, is one of Cyon Research's more visible industry achievements.

This past autumn, COFES started its international push with the COFES India Summit in New Delhi, India.

A future, pan-Asia event is planned for 2008.

COFES 2007 is scheduled for 12th to 15th April 2007 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Cyon Research has also been expanding its consulting practice.

In 2006, Deke Smith, Dick Morley, Sandro Sozzi, Brian Seitz and Shyamal Roy joined the growing practice.

The team expects to continue its expansion in 2007.
