Control Techniques Dynamics has provided its 190 frame motors with an improved IP rating and new connectorised 190 housing, with ready-made cables which will reduce installation time

Control Techniques Dynamics has responded to customer demand for a "plug and play" version of its highly acclaimed Unimotor 190 AC brushless servomotor, by providing its 190 frame motors with an improved IP rating and new connectorised 190 housing The Unimotor 190 is the largest motor in the Unimotor range, providing a dynamic performance to match the most demanding applications

CT Dynamics' connectors have full Under Laboratory (UL) approval on the new 11/2 size.

They are rated at IP67, have a maximum current rating of 70 Amps and, the motors can achieve peak instantaneous torque of 220Nm.

To avoid the intricate, time-consuming assembly normally associated with connecting servo systems, CT Dynamics has introduced ready-made cables to accompany the new connectors, which will enable customers to drastically reduce installation time.

Available in lengths ranging from 3m to 100m, the cables will reduce costs and on-site wiring problems.

In addition to ensuring the connectors are correctly and safely wired for successful, reliable and fail-safe operation, they will also provide effective noise immunity, integrity for power and signal conduction.

Designed to supply high torque with either low or high rotor inertia and minimal cogging torque the Unimotor range consist of three phase, 6 or 8 pole, permanently excited synchronous motors, exhibiting a sinusoidal back EMF characteristic.

Thermal performance is improved by the unique, new "finned" motor housing, manufactured in high strength alloy casting to radiate and convect heat.

The new connectors conform to the complete range of Unimotor servomotors, which are now available with connectors as standard.

This new innovation from CT Dynamics is part of the company's ongoing policy of product improvement responding to the developing markets requirement for quick and simple installation of motors.
