Computamation Systems has just released version 12.2 of Vutrax, the popular electronics design system used by major companies.

Computamation Systems has just released version 12.2 of Vutrax, the popular electronics design system used by major companies.

Vutrax, suitable for designing all types of PCB, runs on WindowsTM 95, 98, NT3.51, 4.00 and WindowsTM 2000.

The software is written in the UK and covers design, layout and electromechanical requirements, providing the complete solution for the PCB designer.

Vutrax 12.2 includes a completely new Library Management tool enabling users to incorporate their own library parts, third party parts and Computamation's standard set of parts into an integrated set of definitions.

Computamation have also supplied another 2000 library parts in schematic, graphical footprint and physical library forms.

Many new Wizards have been added, including those for defining the bussing arrangements and for finding and manipulating all manner of data information.

The latest update, as well as providing ready user access to the already feature rich package, includes many revisions to the drafting engine to enhance retrieval of information during the design phase.

To complement the mainstream Vutrax developments an Intermediate Data Format (IDF) interface has been added to provide 2-way data exchange between Vutrax and 3-D Modelling packages such as Pro-Engineer and SolidWorks.

The software can be downloaded from the company's comprehensive web site or can be supplied on CDROM.

An active part of the company's support is its web site which contains system pricing and descriptions, the very latest technical support information plus application stories and links to Vutrax bureaux.
