Control Techniques highlighted both the effectiveness and ease-of use of its new DrivesShop.com, on-line buying facility, when the service went live at the Drives and Controls Exhibition in March Customers were able to register for the service and place orders direct from a terminal on the stand and over 200 registrations were taken

CT's first e-orders were also placed before the show closed and in one case the drives were ready for the buyers to collect at the Telford Drive Centre on the their way home; well within the maximum 48hr delivery time which CT guarantees for the majority of its products bought on-line.

Robert Hargreaves, Managing Director of Scattergood and Johnson Ltd was one of the first customers to use Control Techniques' new internet based purchasing system, and one of the first to benefit from the fast delivery it provides.

When asked what his impressions of the new service were, he commented; " DrivesShop.com has brought to the industrial drives market, the convenience and ease-of-use pioneered by forward thinking on-line consumer sales operations.

The speed of response and streamlined administration looks set to save us time and money in ordering and could benefit our own stocking policy, reducing our overheads and releasing capital". Request free introductory details about products from Control Techniques ...
