Control Techniques Drives has released Affinity a new range of HVAC/R drives focused on the needs of the building automation industry worldwide.

Affinity is the result of new and wide-ranging customer research into the rapidly changing needs of the building automation world.

This rugged, compact, energy-efficient and cost-effective drive family is aimed to appeal to consultants, HVACR OEMs, contractors, building owners and building operators by offering significant advantages.

Rated up to 132kW, with models available in 200V up to 690V, Affinity is offered in both IP20 and IP54 formats with BACnet, Metasys N2 and Modbus communications all integrated as standard along with LonWorks as a simple plug in option.

John Murphy, Vice President Strategic Planning, at Control Techniques said "The all new Affinity range offers customers what they need to run their business both efficiently and effectively, with quick installation and start-ups, all while saving money".

The Affinity specification includes Fireman's mode operation, with easy to use LCD keypad with Hands-Off-Auto control plus dual PID loops.
