"The In-Sight 5400R delivers the same ruggedness and performance as the In-Sight 5400, yet the camera is about the size of a C-cell battery and can fit into very small spaces," said Kris Nelson, Cognex Senior Vice President, Vision Sensors.
The camera weighs less than 70g, which also makes it suitable for moving applications where the camera is mounted on the end of a robot arm, on a gantry or on a positioning stage.
It has a separate camera and processor that can be mounted up to 15m apart and connected by a cable.
The camera meets IEC specifications for shock and vibration, and achieved an IP67 (Nema 6) rating to withstand dust and wash down.
A library of vision software is included for automatic identification, gauging, inspection and alignment, as well as built-in Ethernet communications and In-Sight Explorer software with tools to simplify application development and network administration.
Patmax for feature and object location is available as an option. Request a free brochure from Cognex UK ...
