Cognex has unveiled In-Sight Explorer network automation software for In-Sight wafer readers.

Cognex has unveiled In-Sight Explorer network automation software for In-Sight wafer readers.

In-Sight Explorer software includes tools to manage a system of networked In-Sight wafer readers throughout the fab, from any networked PC inside or outside of the cleanroom.

"With In-Sight Explorer software, virtually every task is easier", said Justin Testa, Cognex Senior Vice President, ID Products.

"As our fab customers continue to move toward fully automated wafer traceability, these new tools will make it easier for them to achieve higher yields by centralising control of multiple wafer readers on the fab network".

In-Sight Explorer provides controls for remote setup of wafer readers, network, I/O, managing access level permissions, system backup and restore, and other system management tasks.

In addition, the In-Sight 1721 wafer reader now includes a new Microsoft NET-based graphical user interface for fast, simple setup and modification.

The new user interface provides the look and feel of 1700 Series models, while supporting the latest Microsoft operating systems.

The In-Sight 1721 retrofits easily into existing equipment.

In-Sight Explorer network automation and NET user interface software is available now.
