Big software donation to Penn State
University
CoCreate Software has donated CoCreate OneSpace Solution Suite worth over US$600,000 to Pennsylvania State University's Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
CoCreate Software has donated CoCreate OneSpace Solution Suite, valued at more than US$600,000 to Pennsylvania State University's Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, one of the elite engineering programs in the USA The university says it will use the solution to support its Center for Manufacturing Enterprise Integration, CMEI, a Ben Franklin Center of Excellence within the industrial engineering department

Initially it will use the software for project- specific design collaboration and support of research projects at the graduate level.

"Integrating CoCreate's technologies into our program will help keep our students at the cutting-edge of industrial engineering tools and is consistent with our grand tradition of innovation." "CoCreate provides us with tools to integrate a variety of CAD models and an environment that enhances collaboration through the Internet," said Rushabh Mehta, Graduate Student in the program.
"Penn State's Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering program, recognized as one of the best in the nation, is part of a seeding initiative that we believe will promote the next generation of collaborative product development in the manufacturing segment," said Tilman F Schad, president and chief executive officer of CoCreate.
"Using CoCreate's newest technologies can help professors and students remain at the leading edge of collaborative product design processes.
With this knowledge, students will be better equipped to drive manufacturing companies to the next generation of innovation and productivity.".
