CoCreate donates software to Georgia Tech

CoCreate Software has provided Georgia Tech with CoCreate OneSpace Solution Suite software and support, valued at more than $900,000.

Georgia Tech, the nation's number one producer of engineering graduates, says it will use the software to train its next generation of engineering students to develop a collaborative engineering research framework and in various commercial projects.

Georgia Tech intends to incorporate CoCreate software in collaborative engineering proposals it is preparing for future research projects and in its Manufacturing Research Center-Information Technology Integrated Manufacturing Enterprise System (MARC-iTimes).

The school and CoCreate also are working with other organisations and companies to develop a collaborative design and manufacturing environment.

"We are pleased to accept such a generous gift from CoCreate", said William B Rouse, School Chair of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech.

"As the industry moves toward design collaboration as the standard for producing better designs faster, integrated software systems will provide an environment in which it's possible for our engineers to share design knowledge and track the design as it develops with other engineers on a project regardless of location".
