satellite data

With Model Manager, Alcatel Space developers optimise planning and development, guarantee the reliability of technical data and store and leverage existing product data; all of which has increased productivity while shortening the production cycle.
The data for each satellite is stored in absolute safety within the system.
In addition, Model Manager supports production management at startup.
"We selected Model Manager from CoCreate because it is extremely adaptable and flexible and is equipped with a complete range of tools", said Letourneau.
"For a system to be of value to Alcatel Space, it must adapt continuously to fit any new tasks or processes perfectly, and it must always be up and running.
CoCreate partner Access Commerce made a number of user-specific adaptations to Model Manager and is responsible for system maintenance, as well as all future developments.

Alcatel Space was originally a supplier to the satellite industry specialising in electronics and payload optimisation, but today develops complete satellite systems.
The Alcatel Space IT Systems department has tripled in sise as the company faces administrative challenges due to working in multiple locations, new areas of activity and heterogeneous PDM systems.
In light of these new challenges and demands on productivity, Alcatel Space elected to standardise its information system.
Because of its proven high level of performance and adaptability to the processes at the Toulouse site, Model Manager was also selected for implementation at the Cannes and Valence sites.
"Model Manager has been in place at all Alcatel Space development locations since August 2003", said Francoise Asparre, Manager of the Industrial Solutions Integration Department at Access Commerce.
"Implementation was completed in a single weekend so that there was no interruption in design work or production.
It was a complete success".
