CoCreate was selected in large part due to its support for intra-company and inter-company business processes, as well as its focus on the unique collaboration needs of engineering and product development teams.
Forbes praised OneSpace.net's ability to synchronise files among enterprise systems, saying it "relieves the headaches that firewalls sometimes cause when trying to share data across networks".
Technologies such as XML and web services enable OneSpace.net to synchronise data controlled in enterprise platform products such as PLM, PDM, and ERP with the OneSpace.net project workspace.
As a result, enterprises can couple OneSpace.net to their own data and process management systems as well as to those of their suppliers, allowing team members anywhere to access the right version of project data.
