No fewer than 30 winners in the iF design award 2005 competition designed their entries with CoCreate's OneSpace Designer Modeling 3D CAD software.

No fewer than 30 winners in the iF design award 2005 competition designed their entries with CoCreate's OneSpace Designer Modeling 3D CAD software The iF awards, also called the Design Oscars, is now in its 52nd year and is widely considered one of the most important competitions worldwide

A total of 2322 contestants from 32 countries competed for the coveted Gold iF seal of design quality.

In the product design discipline, Designer Modeling users won five gold awards.

Seiko Epson, Agilent, Festool and Festo, which earned two Oscars, received a specially designed golden sculpture at an elaborate ceremony held at the CeBIT trade show in Hannover.

Oscar winners also received membership to the distinguished design group known as the iF gold selection 2005.

In addition, 25 iF seal of design quality awards went to finalists Seiko Epson, BenQ, Oce, Festo, Daiko, Yokogawa and Sick - all of whom designed their entries with OneSpace Designer Modeling.

An international jury of design experts selected the winners based on criteria that include design quality, innovation and functionality.

"Consumers are focusing less on technology and more on style when selecting products, in particular, electronics", said jurist Bill Moggridge of Ideo, Palto Alto, USA.

"Personal products are taking the market by storm, which is opening up new options for designers".
