Engineering magazine awards 2006 Golden Mousetrap Award for Best CAD/PLM Software Product.
Engineering magazine Design News has awarded CoCreate Software the 2006 Golden Mousetrap Award for Best CAD/PLM Software Product.
For the award, Design News selected five finalists that had all recently launched a major product.
The final selection from these five was made by Design News readers that voted CoCreate's Onespace 2006 product suite as being the best CAD/PLM software product over Catia, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and Alibre.

Besides dynamic modelling, the 2006 release provides a practical answer for PLM.
CoCreate focuses on the PLM process and fills the gap between product planning and manufacturing systems, such as ERP, with a rich product development suite.
Unlike traditional PLM, which typically adds another enterprise IT layer, CoCreate complements existing IT investments and introduces a 3D master model to extend the reach of design data throughout the organisation.
This new way of thinking is prompting companies that had previously rejected PLM to pursue it in a more attainable and cost-effective way.
