Shop design designer moves to OneSpace Modeling

A CoCreate Software product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 14, 2006

Fiction Factory has recently moved its CAD software to CoCreate's OneSpace Modeling

Fiction Factory, based in the Netherlands, designs and manufactures shop interiors, stands and display units, and trade show booths for a leading pioneer of style in the world of denim.

A supplier first introduced the company to CoCreate's 3D CAD product.

Soon after, Fiction Factory bought a subscription for the software from CoCreate's partner CAD Services.

CAD Services ensured a smooth and efficient installation at the Fiction Factory offices.

The results saw engineers designing like pros within five days.

Soon, they completed a successful first project.

And, in the end, the company opted to buy permanent licenses.

"Now that we use OneSpace Modeling, our overall processes run leaner than ever", said Leo Schilling, Managing Director of Fiction Factory.

"In fact, I estimate we develop products 50 percent faster".

With the CoCreate product, the company says it has improved drawing management, responds more flexibly to change and communicates better with suppliers.

"The Dynamic Modeling concept is the best fit for us because we can make changes on the spot", says Schilling.

"This makes us efficient and ready to deal with any unexpected design change that confronts us".
