CoCreate Software has announced the appointment of Ulrich H Mahle to the position of Vice President Worldwide Marketing and R and D.

Mahle was appointed to aggressively establish CoCreate's unique, third generation product lifecycle management (3G PLM) solution.

CoCreate developed 3G PLM to support its 100,000+ users in the high-tech electronic machinery industry.

In this segment, development cycles last only a few months and demand profuse innovation.

The company developed this approach to PLM because traditional systems tended to specifically address the transportation industry, where processes are rigid and a single project might endure for years.

Mahle was selected to drive CoCreate's global presence based largely on his track record with the company.

He was instrumental in starting CoCreate's ME CAD programme and has held management positions in business development, marketing and R and D.

He established a leading global R and D team that successfully practices agile software development.

In his new role, Mahle will combine his technological know-how, intimate customer understanding and expertise in marketing.

Mahle holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
