PVDF coupling for chemical fluid applications

A Colder Products product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 18, 2000

ChemQuik CQV06 is the the first all-plastic coupling made of ultra-pure PVDF, and is aimed at high flow, ultra-pure semiconductor and chemical fluid applications.

Colder Products Company (CPC) is pleased to announce ChemQuik CQV06 all-plastic, quick disconnect couplings for high flow, ultra-pure semiconductor and chemical fluid applications.

These couplings provide a completely unrestricted, non-metallic flow path and offer an economical solution for increasing yield, minimizing downtime and reducing maintenance costs.

The CQV couplings are the first all-plastic couplings made of ultra-pure PVDF, which provides better chemical resistance and a higher level of contaminant-free cleanliness than ChemQuik CQH06 Series polypropylene couplings.

PEEK and "Fluoro" plastic springs maintain the metal-free flow path and provide instant shutoff upon disconnection.

Chemraz seals provide a high degree of chemical compatibility and meet industry ultra-pure standards-no contaminating lubricants are used.

These couplings are manufactured in a controlled environment and double-bagged in Class 100 anti-static clean room bags.

The CQV couplings are ideal for acids, chemicals, ultra-pure fluids and other specialized applications.

CQV couplings are designed to operate within a pressure range of 0 to 80 psi, and a fluid temperature range of 32øF to 225øF.

They have a 3/8" nominal flow diameter and a 1.6 Cv.

For maximum design flexibility, the CQV couplings are available in panel mount and in-line configurations with integral flare style terminations for connection to PFA, FEP and other semi-rigid tubing.

As with all CPC couplings, the CQV couplings feature a push-button thumb latch that yields an audible "click" to confirm a secure, leak-free connection.

They facilitate easy one-handed operation.

Color coding is also available to identify critical flow lines and prevent accidental connections.
