Safety coding system eliminates mismating

A Colder Products product story

The novel colour and physical keying system of the ChemQuik CQN08 Series of high purity PTFE quick-disconnect couplings offers a simple solution for identifying critical chemical fluid lines.

Colder Products Company's (CPC) novel colour and physical keying system for the ChemQuik CQN08 Series of high purity PTFE quick disconnect couplings offers a simple solution for identifying critical chemical fluid lines and preventing costly and dangerous, accidental crosslined connections.

CPC's keying system is unique in that once the coupling is connected, the halves may be rotated relative to each other to relieve any twisting stress in the fluid line, allowing for easy alignment of the coupling halves.

The system is extremely robust and simple to operate; all components are made of fluoropolymers with heavy duty construction for long life and the number of keys is virtually limitless.

"The colour keying system is our response to customers who demanded a more reliable, safer system", said CPC Market Manager Thomas Braun.

"This is another example of how we rely on customer input to continually make our products better and easier to use".

The keying system is another vital feature of CPC's revolutionary ChemQuik CQN08 quick-disconnect high-flow nonspill couplings.

The ChemQuik CQN08 series' dual shutoff valves offer unparalleled performance with high-purity, aggressive chemical or ultra-pure DI water lines.

The CQN08 achieves extremely low spillage with a patented, double-sided shut-off valve design.

Tested and approved by leading semiconductor OEMs, chemical suppliers and FABs alike, this coupling has become the first choice for instant, safe and non-spill disconnection and reconnection in high-purity, aggressive fluid handling systems.
