Cooper Lighting and Security has introduced a new version of its popular Menvier Safe Ex exit sign.

Featuring a number of design improvements, the restyled New Safe Ex is an attractive, easy-to-install luminaire that offers excellent value for money.

The exit sign now incorporates a clip-in, hinged, removable gear tray, together with rear or top BESA cable entries and a diffuser that slides in from the bottom to facilitate installation close to ceilings or walls.

Available in maintained, non-maintained or slave versions, New Safe Ex provides a minimum of 3 hours' illumination from its 8W 300mm fluorescent tube in the event of a mains power failure.

The luminaire is approved to EN60598-2-22 and complies with the minimum and maximum luminance, contrast and uniformity standards required by EN1838 and ICEL.

It has a 30m viewing distance and also features a built-in downlighter panel to provide useful additional downward illumination.

Overall dimensions of the luminaire are 190 x 402 x 85mm, and it weighs 2.3kg.
