Sensors web site reports rapid growth

A Sensorland product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 25, 2001

Sensorland has grown rapidly and now contains approaching 500 pages of on-line technical information making it an ideal reference for engineers who wish to find out more about sensors and systems

The website, www.sensorland.com which can be seen on stand H16 at the MTEC 2002 Exhibition at the NEC on 13-14 February 2002, was launched in June 2000 for engineers to learn about and also source all types of sensors and measurement systems.

The site has grown rapidly and now contains approaching 500 pages of on-line technical information making it an ideal reference for engineers who wish to find out more about sensors and systems and where to buy them.

The visiting traffic has doubled since July 2001, with the most popular pages receiving in excess of 18,000 hits per month.

Both engineers and suppliers comment on the effectiveness and usefulness of the site, and keep revisiting.

Within the site are sections for where to buy, the latest new product information and catalogues, magazines to read, how sensors work, how they are used in applications, which exhibitions, conferences and training courses to attend, together with a library of books to consult.

For rapid and intensive use, the site also has a Quick Links page giving direct access to over a hundred company websites, and a search facility to hunt out a particular product or application.
