Combidrive has a new design of clutch manufactured by Suco.

Combidrive has a new design of clutch manufactured by Suco The clutch comprises three banana-shaped flyweights with bonded linings

Each shoe is driven from its 'trailing' end by a pivot pin and metal clad resilient bush.

On engagement each shoe is driven into the housing with a servo effect resulting in very low slip.

The resilient bushes deal with the high torsional vibrations emanating from the diesel engine.

The new clutch was designed primarily for use with low-speed diesel engines (around 1200rev/min) in the refrigerated transport industry, but it is expected to find many other industrial applications.
