CompAir has announced more new products, which are due to go into production during the next eight months to extend its range of oil lubricated screw compressors further.

The company's Simmern facility has played host to the announcement of new preview models including the L30, L37 and L45 fixed speed compressors, which are scheduled to be available at the end of the year.

CompAir has also announced that during the next few months they will bring to market a new L45SR, incorporating the new three-phase SR drive which increases the output of air by 10% - from the same unit.

The compressor will benefit from the new SR drive speed regulated motor which has an increased protection class of IP55 giving higher reliability for the end user, especially in polluted industrial areas.

An economical, integrated dryer solution will be available for all fix speed compressors, but can also be used in combination with the variable speed SR version.

The combined units (L30F, L37F, L45F and L45FSR) will have numerous benefits for the customer.

The new compressor with integrated dryer has a smaller footprint than the two individual units, and it also has just one controller as opposed to one on each of the units when installed separately, this makes using the compressor and dryer more simplified.

The final benefits include easier and quicker installation and maintenance.

The new models will enter production in the coming months and will be available for sale in the European market by the end of the year - meaning that CompAir will now offer an integrated dryer solution from 7.5 to 75kW and a speed regulated range from 45kW extending through to 250kW.

The switched reluctance (SR) variable speed drive system, which CompAir manufactures under an exclusive licence from SR Drives, uses a digitally controlled switched reluctance DC drive.

The drive system enables the compressor to match output to varying demands and as a result provides considerable energy savings.

Adding an SR compressor to any installation of standard L-series compressors gives the entire system the ability to precisely match output to demand, allowing the compressors to consume exactly the right amount of energy to do the job, and no more.

Graham Roberts, Managing Director of the Industrial Division, explained: "The new smaller models in the lubricated screw compressor range, which are to go into production during the next few months, are again designed to be as flexible as possible to suit each individual customer's needs".

"Using a modular approach we can meet all customer requirements across the globe, which is much more cost efficient than building a single larger 'one size fits all' solution, which often is far too large for what is actually required and has higher costs, longer lead times and poorer service and spares availability".

Further new products due to go into production during the next few weeks are the L160RS, L200RS and L25RS.

These new compressors add further choice to the present standard fix speed machines, as these new models will be available with an integrated inverter drive system for a wide range of speed regulated demands, at all major working pressures from 7.5 to 13bar maximum.

The RS system is based on a high reliable asynchronous three-phase standard motor with external fan cooling for high efficient operation at lower speeds, an inverter cabinet with EMC filter and separate ventilation, regulated by the updated, standard Delcos 3100 compressor control system.
