Projected savings of GBP 15,000 per annum in energy costs have proved to be a compelling argument for shower manufacturer Kohler Mira in its choice of replacement compressors.
Compressors pave the way for energy savings
A major review of energy usage has led Marshalls to nominate compressor manufacturer CompAir as its preferred supplier.
Each of these are installed together, with a dryer bypass system, to give a reduced footprint and easier maintenance.
Airstation is part of the L series screw compressor range and this integrated system has five models - L07, L11, L15, L18 and L22.
The screw compression element of the oil-injected rotary screw compressor is made using 3D CNC rotary grinding technology.
The L07 and L11 models use the F18H refrigerant dryer while the more powerful L15, L18 and L22 models use the F30H dryer.
Both dryers are environmentally friendly using R134a, which reduces power consumption and is designed to meet current and forthcoming standards.
The design and functionality of the compressor and dryer unit are closely linked so the thermal reserve out of the used radial fans, the large size of the after cooler and the reduced pressure losses will allow these units to run globally without risk.
The dryer's components are standard parts, which are arranged so that inspection and servicing can be carried out easily and quickly.
A removable side panel provides access to the V belts and the electric motor.
The starter is accessible from the front of the machine through its own access door under the top canopy.
The Airstation comes with one electronic Delcos 1000 controller as opposed to one for each of the units when installed separately, for ease of use.
The microprocessor based Delcos 1000 provides advanced compressor operating and monitoring possibilities.
