CompAir, the global manufacturer of compressed air and gas systems, celebrated in style recently when distributor Oscott Air, opened its new Coventry depot.

Coventry City Football Club players Richard Shaw and Steve Ogrizovic and local speedway rider, Rory Schlein were just a handful of the people that turned up to the launch day.

CompAir boasts over 40 first-class distributors throughout the UK and this latest opening is a welcome addition to the list.

Oscott Air is CompAir's premier distributor in the West Midlands and an integral supplier to the region's manufacturing industry, with nearly 3000 customers.

The depot is the second for the company, whose first site in Birmingham has been running for some 40 years, and was opened to provide local customers with easier access to compressed air systems, parts and services.

The new store was officially opened by Joe Elliot, Coventry City Football Club Director, Howard Parsons, Aftermarket Managing Director for CompAir and John Clutterbuck, Chairman and Managing Director of Oscott Air.

Steve Turner, General Manager of Oscott Air, is looking forward to reaching more customers than ever: "We already offer a vast array of services, from the sale of small machine components to large installations worth over GBP 250,000.

This latest step means our Coventry customers, who have previously been travelling to our Birmingham branch, will have the benefit of a fully operational sales and service centre on their doorstep".

Howard Parsons, Aftermarket Managing Director for CompAir, commented: "CompAir relies on its strong team of UK distributors and seeing such a valued member expanding and achieving success is extremely rewarding.

"The new team has already scored several high-profile contracts in the area, supplying CompAir compressors to large manufacturers such as Dunlop Equipment".

"I'm sure that Oscott Air's wealth of expertise and experience in the market will ensure the CompAir name grows even further in the region".
