The acquisition of EandB in the West of England further expands the reach of Airchannel's branches, which range from Aberdeen in Scotland to Hornchurch in Essex, and Bristol and Cardiff in the west.

CompAir distributor, Airchannel, is expanding its network of sales and service centres with the acquisition of EandB Air Compressors, based in Weston-super-Mare and Cardiff.

CompAir, the global manufacturer of compressed air and gas systems, has a strong network of distributors throughout the UK, supplying CompAir and Hydrovane compressors, equipment and services across industries as diverse as food, engineering, process and pharmaceutical.

The Airchannel Group has nearly 40 years of experience in the compressed air market, and now employs more than 200 people.

The acquisition of EandB in the West of England further expands the reach of Airchannel's branches, which range from Aberdeen in Scotland to Hornchurch in Essex, and Bristol and Cardiff in the west.

Gavin Shanks, Group Chairman of Airchannel, is excited about the opportunities the acquisition will bring: "This is a significant step in the continuing development and growth of Airchannel".

"We have worked alongside EandB as part of the CompAir distributor network for many years".

"Combining our knowledge and experience means we can offer excellent local service to a broader spread of customers and is a great platform for future growth".

Ian Wild, Managing Director of EandB, who joins Airchannel's Board, added: "Both Airchannel and EandB are well respected CompAir compressed air distributors and service providers".

EandB has built a sturdy presence in the west of England and Wales, which will strengthen Airchannel's reach in these important regions of the UK".

Although Airchannel and EandB operations will be integrated over a period of time, in the short term the businesses will both continue to operate as before.

Jeremy Sykes, UK Managing Director for CompAir, commented: "CompAir relies on its strong team of UK distributors and seeing two such valued companies combining and achieving success is extremely rewarding".

"Bringing EandB into the Airchannel Group means that the expanded group can efficiently and effectively deliver a range of CompAir products and services to customers across the UK and will improve even further the services we provide to both our local and national customers".

The Airchannel Group of companies now comprises Airchannel, Woodside Power, Fidelity Plant Hire Scotland Limited and EandB Air Compressors.
