CompAir has given distributors and customers a sneak preview of its new range of portable compressors.

CompAir has given distributors and customers a sneak preview of its new range of portable compressors.

The products, currently undergoing field trials to test their durability in tough, hardworking environments, were showcased at a series of open days, held at CompAir's headquarters in the West Midlands.

The new portable compressors are easy to tow and manoeuvre around site.

Significant investment has been made to reduce their noise output, and all are fitted with Cummins engines to ensure excellent fuel consumption.

The new machines will be officially launched during the first half of 2007.

CompAir is building on its popular C35-10 to C76 range with the new lightweight C38 and C42 and C50 portable screw compressors.

Fitted with long life exhaust emission controlled engines, the new portables feature automatic engine speed, air intake regulation and an easy to use control panel.

CompAir also showed models from its Turbo Screw range.

The models on show included the C160TS-12 and C210TS-12 with output levels of 267 and 354 litre/s, respectively, at 12bar.

"The open days were a massive success", says Mike Perkins, Manager of CompAir's Portables and Tools Division.

"Giving distributors and customers a sneak preview provided an excellent opportunity for us to get feedback on the new machines".

"With the construction industry booming, there is real interest in new products that help contractors and operators work more efficiently and we are always keen to hear what our customers are looking for from their portable compressors".

"We continue to build on our reputation of providing hardworking, reliable products, with added benefits that actually mean something to our customers, including low noise outputs and easy manoeuvrability".
