Early payback for compressor upgrade
Projected savings of GBP 15,000 per annum in energy costs have proved to be a compelling argument for shower manufacturer Kohler Mira in its choice of replacement compressors.
Compressors pave the way for energy savings
A major review of energy usage has led Marshalls to nominate compressor manufacturer CompAir as its preferred supplier.
The lightweight C50 portable screw compressor builds on CompAir's popular C35 to C76 range.
Fitted with Diesel Particulate Filtration (DPF) as an option and the latest, robust water-cooled Cummins engine, the C50 complies with the most stringent exhaust emissions legislation.
To enhance the efficiency of the compressor, the engine speed automatically adjusts to the air consumption, guaranteeing the most economical operation.

Screw compressors take dryers onboard
CompAir has now introduced five new models to its L-series screw compressor range - including increased numbers of speed regulated models as well as two new units which incorporate integrated dryers.
To protect the engine, the compressor automatically shuts down if it runs low on fuel.
The C50 also features a soft start allowing the engine to warm up with an off load compressor.
Suitable for the most hostile environments, the C50 can continue to produce 5.0m3/min up to an ambient temperature of 50C as well as 1500m above sea level.
Extending CompAir's range of single-tool compressors, the new C20 compressor is also on show.
With an optional integrated generator, the C20 GS is powered by a reliable, fuel efficient Kubota V1505 diesel engine.
The machine's efficiency is supported by an air inlet valve and pneumatic engine speed controller for volume flow regulation and energy saving.
The compressor is easy to manoeuvre and its versatility is made greater by the integrated generator which can supply power for the site, lighting or electrical tools.
Designed for the toughest site conditions, this new C115-12 compressor offers the highest reliability, performance and quality of compressed air.
Fitted with a reliable, fuel-efficient Deutz engine, the machine provides a volume output of 11.6m3/min.
Gerry McGettigan at CompAir says: "We are delighted to be launching our latest range of portable compressors at SED".
"We have been listening to what our customers want from their compressor and have applied our design and development resources to meet their needs".
"Utilising the latest diesel engine technology to comply with stringent EU exhaust emissions standards means our customers will benefit from energy and cost-efficient compressors which produce savings of up to 30% on diesel fuel at the same volume flow rate as other similar output machines".
"This means our machines can work for longer on a tank of fuel".
"In addition, the low operating weights of our compressors also score highly - up to 2000kg lighter than other comparable machines".
"With some countries restricting the weight that can be towed by young drivers, a lower weight machine can mean a lot more flexibility for the compressor user".
