The acquisition of CompAir will enable Gardner Denver to extend its global compressor business using CompAir's strong brands.

CompAir has been acquired by US firm Gardner Denver, a global manufacturer of compressor and vacuum products and fluid transfer systems.

The transaction, which will see the whole of the CompAir Group, including Hydrovane and Reavell, become part of Gardner Denver, is due to be completed in approximately two months' time.

The acquisition is an exciting development for the Redditch based manufacturer, which is keen to build on its reputation for high quality, innovative products and excellent customer service.

Jeremy Sykes, Managing Director of CompAir UK, says: "This is a great opportunity for CompAir and is another important milestone in our long history".

"Being part of Gardner Denver gives us the capability to accelerate our future growth plans and to broaden our product offering to customers".

Illinois-based Garner Denver has operations in over 30 countries, has a turnover of almost US $2 billion and employs 6200 staff worldwide.

The acquisition of CompAir will enable Gardner Denver to extend its global compressor business using CompAir's strong brands, technologically advanced products and complementary routes to market.
