Captive Fastener Corp manufactures self-clinching threaded inserts, which require a minimum amount of space to install.

Captive Fastener Corp manufactures self-clinching threaded inserts, which require a minimum amount of space to install.

The miniature fasteners are made of stainless steel in free-running (CFEX Series) or locking thread (CFE Series) versions.

Self-locking threads provide a prevailing torque on the mating screw and, to aid installation, a dry film lubricant finish is provided.

The insert also has an aggressive knurl which is designed to withstand a high torque-out resistance after it is pressed into the sheet metal.

The miniature self-clinching nuts are ideal for use in medical and electronic equipment enclosures made of thin sheet metal too thin to be tapped.
