Versatile measurement facilities built into the Cropico RMG-15kVAC dielectric strength tester provide flexibility and operational ease in accurately measuring the hi-pot of materials.

Versatile measurement facilities built into the Cropico RMG-15kVAC dielectric strength tester provide flexibility and operational ease in accurately measuring the hi-pot of materials.

It may be used as a stand-alone device or fully integrated into an automatic test system, with all parameters fully controllable by RS232C, PLC or IEEE488 interface.

Dielectric strength of materials is measured with adjustable voltage variable from 0 to 15kV AC, with a 500VA power output enabling sufficient current to flow through the test sample to overcome the capacitive effects of a circuit.

Voltage and current are also displayed.

For capacitive samples where a high charging current would trip the voltage without a material breakdown, units may be set to disconnect the voltage when current change rate reaches a preset level.

They can also be set to trip the voltage at a preset maximum level.

Ten different setup conditions can be stored in the tester's memory and easily recalled for easy and accurate operation.

At a breakdown, the voltage is immediately and safely disconnected and the voltage level is displayed on the screen.

Voltage can be set to rise, hold and fall over a preset time for each.

As this may also be set in function parameter memory, units can be configured to suit most measurement standards.

An integral safety interlock control may be linked through a safety cage or chamber ensuring that the unit can only be energised with the safety doors closed.
