A new turnkey design and manufacturing service from power transmission expert, Cross and Morse, means that companies no longer have to spend time and money on in-house development
The new turnkey design and manufacturing service from power transmission expert, Cross and Morse, means that companies no longer have to spend time and money on the in-house development of systems involving power transmission and related components.
The experienced design team, which forms the backbone of Cross and Morse's new service, will analyse requirements relating to virtually any light engineering application, and will suggest efficient, cost-effective and often innovative solutions.
The necessary equipment is then manufactured and tested in Cross and Morse's modern UK plant, and is delivered to the customer ready for immediate use.
Users of the service are, therefore, freed from all design and procurement problems, while Cross and Morse's new computerised workflow manufacturing system ensures that agreed delivery schedules are always maintained.
"Carrying out development work in-house can, for many companies, be costly and inefficient," said George Harris, managing director of Cross and Morse, "especially in these days when engineering resources are often stretched to the limit.
However, our new service provides an ideal solution." "Our design team has the experience and application expertise necessary to find new and effective approaches," he continued, " and, of course, it is in the best possible position to make the most of our comprehensive range of manufacturing facilities.
Put plainly, we believe that, in almost every case, we can produce better solutions, faster and at more attractive prices." The new turnkey service covers not only the power transmission equipment for which Cross and Morse is well known, but also an almost unlimited range of light engineering requirements.
All production work relating to the service is carried out in the company's own factory, where facilities are available for turning, milling, precision gear cutting, barrelling, and many other manufacturing processes.
