Based on its extensive experience of supplying attachment chains to the food and packaging industry, power transmission specialist Cross + Morse has extended its range to include stainless steel and corrosion protection chain and has introduced an innovative manufacturing technique for associated attachments.
By adopting a "flexible tooling" system of manufacture, Cross + Morse is able to provide an infinite range of attachments to suit its stainless steel, corrosion protected and special finish chain, at a cost substantially less than conventionally manufactured special attachments.
Thus, users are now able to select the most appropriate chain and attachment format, without the normal high premium.
The company claims that it is able to offer faster delivery than many of it's competitors; a particular benefit to end users when they encounter breakdowns of key plant.
Cross + Morse stainless steel attachment chain is suitable for use in the most demanding applications where water, acidic and alkaline solutions, chemicals, high humidity and extremes of temperature are encountered.
These are the type of conditions which are potentially destructive to ordinary transmission chain.
Cross + Morse stainless steel chain remains impervious to most chemicals frequently used in the cleaning and hygiene regimes within food and pharmaceutical industry processing, offering low maintenance life time performance.
Cross + Morse offers a wide range of standard attachments, and custom designed and manufactured to match application requirements.
The company's latest investment in CNC machinery also enables them to offer extended bearing pin chains on short lead times.
In addition chains are also manufactured with a range of finishes to suit specific applications, including: Aqua Proof, nickel plated and Molycoated.
The innovative approach to attachment design and tooling, adopted by Cross + Morse permits the manufacture of attachments both standard K1/K2 and M1/M2 ranges, as well as to customers drawings, both economically and fast.
