New appointment at torque measurement specialist

Crane Electronics, a market leader in torque measurement and control systems, has appointed Gerard Ryan as general Sales and Marketing Manager.

Crane Electronics, a market leader in torque measurement and control systems, has appointed Gerard Ryan as general Sales and Marketing Manager.

Gerard joins the company from TRW Aeronautical Systems where he was responsible for the sales of spares and maintenance, repair and overhaul services to aircraft operators in Europe and the Middle East.

His previous experience includes sales management and design engineering posts with various companies including Jaguar Cars and Dunlop Aviation Division.

An Associate Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Gerard will take global responsibility for Sales and Marketing at Crane Electronics.

Gerard will oversee the sales team at Crane that includes UK Sales Manager, Ian Brown, and European Sales Manager, Richard Sargeant.

The sales team has been strengthened further with the arrival of Gareth Jones and Anthony O'Leary as UK Sales Engineers.

Gerard looks forward to his new challenge: "At Crane Electronics we have strong technical and sales teams, and technologically advanced products.

We can build on this to make the Crane name synonymous with the very best in torque management and control in industrial markets across the world." Gerard, 35, is married and lives in Coventry.

Skiing, football and golf feature amongst his interests.
